Hi everyone. I am still relatively new to the lipoma thing. I had one removed a couple of years ago, and I've found at least one more this year, though I still have trouble determining whether or not what I find are lipomas. If I have multiple, does that mean I have lipomatosis?
Every time I see my primary care doctor about this, he tells me the same thing. He tells me that they are so normal, and that the average adult actually has about six. However, I've read that only 1-2 percent of adults even have one. Has anyone heard the statistic my doctor listed? Do most people have some, maybe just unnoticed?
