I'm listing here the most plausible lipoma treatments and cure options.
Note, I'm constantly updating this list.

Although I do not like any invasive method they are still the best way to actually get rid of lipoma lumps. Of course surgery always includes scarring.

These are not really in any particular order.

There are many other treatment suggestions on the board in lipoma treatments and cures forum.

My approach is to try a little bit of everything and combine multiple different strategies. I have tested Pomaway and partial ozone autohemotherapy. Unfortunally they did not work for me.

And you can pretty much guess which question I get asked the most... which is why I posted the following post:
Which Supplements Should You Be Using In Order To Control Your Lipomas?

Oh? I have a little hard time believing that since there are scientific studies saying the opposite. Could you enlighten us some more? Where did you receive collagenase, how much?

Hi Matt , I sure wanted it to work. I had it done at Dr Gerut, just 1 injection. Never did I get a follow up call to see if the lipoma was reducing. As a matter of fact when I called no one knew anything. Maybe it works but I did not get any reduction at all.

Matt,

What is your experience with Pomaway. It is positive so far? Are you still testing this?

Were you in a study? Perhaps you received the placebo?

I received the collaganese injection , it had a little stinging when it went in and the lipoma swelled up which is what the doc said it would do. When I think back it has been over 10 years ago and it still is not using it for lipoma reduction. That should tell you something . I remember the doctor telling me it worked in over 90% of the patients so why is it not approved? I do not want to disappoint anyone but I do not want anyone to get there hopes up like I did on this treatment.

Lipoma1,

unfortunately we hear another product which is not working. It is very frustrating to make these experiences; particular when a doctor is involved. But, believe me, at this stage, we have no product whatshowever which is helping us. We have no doctors which has experiences to think about how they can help us. All what we have is people looking for quick money making. These are be called: Rib-off-people, or con men and than if you are warning others, they blame you!

Klaus - with all respect - I would like to hear another opinion about the effectiveness of collagenase before judging it as "not working".

There are many effective treatments in the world for different diseases which are not approved. Why? I can only guess.

Hi Matt,

why you are so sensitive if a product doesn't promise what it is saying? We have only two options in real terms: Yes or not! I don't think that you are using diplomatically words such as: unfortunately it has not brought the affect what people thought.... or, for this particular problem it was not suitable.

If a product or a practise are declared it would help for this and this symptom and it doesn't really brought the results what is that than?

Klaus

No Klaus, I'm just not ready to judge that collagnase doesn't work because of one single opinion especially when we have studies which indicate it does.

Hi Matt,

I'm sorry but I have to tell you that colaganese has -for my knowledge- never been used for Lipoma-Tumor. It finds his activity by enzymes and more by Peyronie's diseases (Penis). Of course a lot of products are valuable to help in one or the other treatment; but I think we should talk about products in regards with Lipoma-Tumor.

Hi Matt,
what the company BioSpecifics are trying to find out is a long way to go. So far, there are no evidences that their tests with colaganese against Lipoma-Tumor was successful. Still the main quesion ist what does the company understand under the word lipoma. I don't believe that they mean Lipoma-Tumors! As long people don't understand the differences between fatty collection on specific body parts and Lipom-Tumors, we talking about different subjects Even they FDA has concerns and studies in Europe have shown how you can use colaganese. We have to be realistic. I mean it is up to everybody to dream about products which have no proof and they suggest themselves it will work. It is hard to make differences between dreams and realities. 90 % of the people are than disappointed when they learnt it was not succesful.

I'm sorry
Klaus

Ok, so you question the knowlidge of the company - that's ok. Maybe they don't have the slightest idea of what lipoma is. But should we trust anymore on your words? Do you have the slightest idea of what lipoma is? Still they claim to have reduced human lipoma by 93 % an average via one injection of collagenase. Maybe they are lying. Who knows.

That is the reality.

Hi Matt,

I'm sorry but you do not follow what I had said: The company predicts that has reducted 93 % of human lipomas. You do believe that the company means that they are talking about Lipoma-Tumor, which they can't, because human fat (lipomas) have nothing to do with Lipoma-Tumors. Yes I know what it states behind the word Lipoma-Tumors and how many we have so far explored; may be new will be added, but test were also made in Europe with colaganes. This product is not knew in the medicine. As far I got the information from the company BioSpecifics it is the same or nearly the same as the Lipostabil a medicine which is in most countries forbitten and had never ever killed one Lipoma-Tumor. All tests had failed. Please learn fatty body parts of a human has nothing to do with Lipoma-Tumors. If you have time enough, you have to spend at least couple of months to study Lipoma-Tumors.

If the company claims that they have reduced 93 %, why we still have Lipoma-Tumors? They are talking of a complete different symptoms of a problem.

Klaus

Fine. Whatever then. Since you know so much better I let it be. I'm tired of arguing. Although I know that neither collagenase and Lipostabil are perfect I know they work on lipomas. I have tried Lipostabil myself. After three rounds none were gone but several shrank considerably. If I only could afford it I would take new shots. That is my final comment.

Ps. I'm pretty sure nobody on this board knows what do you mean with "lipoma-tumor". It's something else than a lipoma? Yes, I'm sure people are misunderstanding the word lipoma but are you seriously claiming that medical pros have misunderstood it when they state:

Quote:
BioSpecifics previously conducted an open label study evaluating the safety and efficacy of
injectable collagenase in the treatment of human lipoma. Eleven of the twelve subjects
completed the follow up scheduled for the trial. Patients in the study received a single injection
of collagenase consisting of 1,000 units (0.058 mg) per centimeter diameter of the lipoma.
Subjects were evaluated at baseline prior to the administration of study treatment and at one,
three, seven and fourteen days, and one, three and six months post treatment to evaluate the
overlying skin as well as the general area for untoward effects. Results showed that there was
an average reduction of lipoma size of 93% post treatment at six months.

They aren't predicting anything. They have already results on it. And Lipostabil has nothing to do with collagenase. Lipostabil includes phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholate. But deoxycholate alone would be better.

Hi Matt,
You have asked me what is the different between lipoma and Lipoma-Tumor. The word lipom comes from greece and means a swelling of the skin on several parts. Today the medicine language makes the different by the translation for lipoma and Lipom-tumors. Lipoma is a fatty area on the body which mostly has the background from eating, drinking or less excerises and can be reduced again by more activity and diet.
Lipom-Tumor is analysed as a skin swelling on body partys in a single formation and can have the size from 0.5 cm to 30 cm may be large, and create different symptoms, depending of the type of 20 which we know today. The inner locality under the skin and the formation of a Lipoma-Tumor can be soft to hard. 80 % of people with Lipoma-Tumors are adding weight and this -against to normal body fat - can not be reduced, even, if the person start diet. Why people have Lipoma-Tumore is unknown so far. There are a lot of ideas that this has to do with methabolic.
At this stage no product could be used successfully agains Lipom-Tumore. Germany and other European countries tried to use for the Lipoma-Tumore colagenase, without any results. A forbitten serum is used in several countries called Lipostabil, which can not elimate any type of Lipoma-Tumores.

It is not very clear what the company BioSpecifics means when they are saying: We made some tests with colgagenase and after 6 months and some injections, "we could reduce human lipomas by 93 %." The word "Human lipoma" is not in the terms of medical definitions to be used and so far it would not state for Lipoma-Tumors. It is quite possiable that large partys of fat areas can be treated. As Lipoma-Tumors (depending of type, are sometimes very strong), a needle would break. A better unstanding would be to see an operation and see the Lipoma-Tumors than it will explain a lot of other reasons.

I could go more in details, but I don't have the time and it should be enough to know what is a fatty area (lipom) and what is a Lipoma-Tumor.

Where the heck did you get that from?

The term "lipoma-tumor" is not in the terms of medical definitions to be used. Maybe it's different in German but in English plain "lipoma" is enough: http://www.medterms.com/script/main/art ... lekey=4171 or http://www.thefreedictionary.com/lipoma

They say "human lipoma" separately in the study because they originally tested collagenase on dogs.

No need to go in further detail. I think we got it.
