Why I believe there are alternatives to surgery when it comes to lipomas?

Hi All!

It's Matt here. I want to give you a warm welcome to the forum :!:
Matt - Board Admin
Matt - Board Admin
I am the Admin of the LipomaBoard.com and I placed that cheezy pic over there because I'm not confident enough to publicly share my photo when it comes to the subject. Maybe some day I am when we have found the cure ;)

If you are looking for an alternative to the surgery when comes to the treatment of lipomas - you have come to the right place! We do share opinions on surgery here as well but the main emphasis is on non-invasive treatment methods.

I'm in my 30s and unfortunally I have around 100 lipomas (from pea to a half grape sized) all over my body.

I got my first lipoma when I was around 16. It was located in my left thigh (now surgically removed). Unfortunally, I didn't like the outcome of the surgery because of the scarring although the lipomas have not recured.

I have also taken three rounds of Lipostabil (aka LipoDissolve) injections and although some lipomas did shrink, none disappeared.

I always thought I'd live a lonely life for the rest of my life until in 2008 I met the most beautiful girl in the world. She couldn't care less about my lipomas and we now share the same house. I was so insecure, and in a way, I still am. But I wanted to share this with you since I know many of you out there think the same I did. Not everyone care about your lumps, trust me! There's so much more in you than just what meets the eye...

But still, I want to get rid of my lipomas so now I'm trying multiple different natural lipoma supplements all together to see if I can stop the growth, shrink or even get rid of some of my tumors. I do believe there is some reason these tumors appear and that there are alternatives to surgery.

I do software designing for a living and I created LipomaBoard.com because I waited literally for years for some substitute for the old lipomaforum.com to appear.

Well, it never did, until now :) I noticed during my internet research that a lot had happened after the old forum had disappeared.

I was sure there were also others who were looking for a place like LipomaBoard.com where everyone could share their ideas and their research. And as a group we are so much more powerful than alone!

There are incredible success stories on the internet which are suggesting it really is possible for us to live without the nasty lipomas! Of course most of it is probably rubbish but maybe some part of it is actually true.

It just feels like the medical world is not honestly interested in studying the subject or taking us seriously. I have explained too many times to the doctors and the insurance companies that yes - my lipomas do hurt and bother me enormously - although your pseudo-documents and textbooks may state differently.

I think it's time to take the destiny into our own hands.

Over the years I have come to the conclusion that surgery is not really an option. At least if you have multiple lipomas like I do. This is why I have started to research alternative ways to treat my lipomas - and eventually I do hope to find a cure. Yes, I know it sounds very ambiguous but if we never try we will never succeed.

The one eye-opener for me was my test with the apricot seeds. I now believe it's very much possible to have an effect to lipomas by taking certain natural supplements orally. My lipomas quit hurting and itching and became a little softer after I initiated the apricot seeds and there are also others on the board who have reported the same.

This may come as a shock to you but I do think there might be a microbial origin for the lipomas. I'm not 100 % sure about it but there are many connecting links. This is why I believe a mixture of antitumor and antimicrobe supplements will eventually help us to get rid of lipomas.

Infact, we are constantly debating about the origin of lipomas and lipomatosis in multiple threads here on Lipomaboard. There are hints that lipomatosis might be a hereditary condition but after some extensive studying I'm not so sure about it. At least we need more proof about the real cause of lipomas.

I do hope you'll find LipomaBoard.com helpful. Keep checking back as I and others will continue to update it regularly with more information which will help you and me. And hopefully we will eventually live a life without any lipomas.

And please participate to the discussion! The more I learn, the more I'll share with you. And I hope you do the same for me as well.

I also hope you will share this forum forward if you liked it. This way we can spread the word and get even more insightful people around. There are some easy share buttons at the top of each page and you can "like" the Lipoma Board's community page in Facebook by clicking the "like" button in the footer. Thanks!

I sometimes buy scientific articles and try out new treatments (like the partial ozone infusion therapy) and of course I'll share them with you so naturally, I'd greatly appreciate any support and donation to help me to help you and keep this board up and running ;)
(Note: There's a PayPal donation button at the very bottom of this page, even a dollar will help)

Thanks for being there! I hope to see you on our forum!

Want to contact me?
The best place to contact me and the the fastest reply you get on Facebook but of course you can contact me here on this board via post or a private message.

PS. I created this post about top lipoma treatment options currently. I'm constantly updating it and of course the threads behind the links grow continuously. So be sure to check also that every once in a while.

PPS. If you do not plan to visit regularly here, please consider subscribing to the newsletter and I will send you any important update concerning lipomas and possible new treatments.

And finally, here are some photos of my lipomas (sorry for the poor quality): 1 2 3 4 5

Yes, I know they don't look too bad yet but trust me - they do bother me

Matt, thank you for setting up this board.
When I realized my problem with lipomas was getting much worse, I was devastated. Depressed.

This message board gives me hope.

Also, I agree, there is strength in numbers, and also if we try, we can get attention for this problem and also
change the obnoxious attitude by some that limpomas are "harmless" yet a crisis if a dog has them!

As we look for treatment and curse, we also need to strategize on how to get media attention on this or enlist support in the medical community or other influential people.

Having a web presence greatly aids that.

Hello,

My name is Cynthia and I am one of the moderators from the old Lipomaforum which was unfortunately lost when the owner died without leaving instructions for transferring it to somebody else.

We know that the old information must still be accessible somewhere in cyberspace but it seems to be nigh on impossible to find it or get it back. This is a real shame because it was crammed full of all sorts of information, research and posts from all sorts of people who contributed in one way or another.

Does anybody know how to find an old site? I might be able to find the owner's sister and get permission to get the ownership of the site back again, but I do not know how to run a site completely........

If not, then there are sites which are newly set up to help with our problems, more specifically http://www.rad.org which is Rare Adipose Disorders and has all the old people concerned with the first American study by Professor Karen Herbst and also her site which is http://www.lipomadoc.org.

However, it is always nice to have somewhere to come and ask questions, even though for me, it is all old ground because we had worked so hard to get all the information that was on the old site and not much has happened since then in the way of actually curing any of these diseases.

Kind regards to all,

Cynthia

Hi Cynthia,

I remember you. I too was a member of the old forum. I joined there some time in 2006 and visited until the very end of it.

I have thought about your suggestion of migrating the two forums but so far I have only copy&pasted some posts from the old forum. It is possible to get some of the old posts here but rather than fetching them all, I would only like to have the really helpful topics here. The bad thing about forums is that they get very large quickly and it gets difficult to find anything.

But there's a way to see most of the posts via WayBackMachine.

But I will think about this. There's still a lot of good information there!

I think the old url (http://www.lipomaforum.com) is currently owned by a clever marketer and I'm not sure if it's possible to get the forum database any longer.

PS. Are you sure you posted the right link? rad.org is The Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf.

Hi Matt,

Sorry about that site name - I know that we had tried to get it but it was changed to :

http://fatdisorders.org

There are a lot of new people who have kind of taken over from where we left off with the Lipoma Forum - for lots of different reasons, one of them being that sometimes we all get fed up being ill!!

Will try some things to see what I can do....

Hi there carol!

Unfortunally we do not have any sure way of helping you with your lipomas except surgery. Still collagenase and lipostabil injections have worked for some but are not widely available. And they are treatments at best but better than nothing.

Our ultimate goal is to find a way to limit new lipomas from appearing and shrinking the existing ones.

We are researching and trying different methods all around the world currently so please stay with us!

This board will immediately announce if there's a proven method other than surgery to get rid of lipomas. I think it will not take too long anymore.

Hi Cynthia,

I was wondering how the lipoma forum is no longer active. The owner died? That so sad, I feel like someone who was with us fighting this, is gone. Do you know what happened?

Matt,
I have two lipoma's one about an inch in diameter the other is about 3 inches long by one inch wide, no pain as such and MRI confirmed they are just Lipoma's.

Looking at the dates on this forum not sure you are still active, but on a search a while back I read someone was working on tablets using apple skin powder and something else - but I cannot find it anymore, does anyone know where or what this was??

I do not want surgery and this is not hereditary but I would like to reduce the size of these things as sometimes wearing a belt is uncomfortable!

Thanks for a response if you are around anyone

Steve

I've missed this post since it's in awkward place.

I know none of who benefitted from apple peel powder and lactase except perhaps Darryl. Here's an independent test that unvictorious did.

Hi Matt.
Can you, please, correct misspelling "gins" for genes in my last post.
Thanks

Hi Matt,

Thanks for creating and maintaining this site. I have multiple lipoma (around 100 and growing :( ) and it has always been a bothering point for me. I have been seriously thinking about surgery options recently but I don't think its a solution for my case as they are dispersed all over my body..

Anyways, i will keep adding all info i can on the discussions and am very hopeful to get some solutions..

thanks thanks thanks again!!

New to this forum/ Cedar Extract?

Post by StevenB » Mon Jul 29, 2013 8:05 pm

Howdy all:
42 y/o male, have had lipomas (that I knew of) since age 20. I have always been a relative thin lean active person. have noticed a significant increase in the numbers of lipoma in my torso over the past (5) years. Largest ones are in my back and I (like matt had said) hardly ever wear short sleeves due to the number and prominence of the multiple lipoma on my fore arms. I had (2) removed about 10 years ago. One out of my elbow area and one out of a bicep, the elbow one has slowly returned over time. Some are painful and/or itch occasionally. Ihave had multiple doctors confirm that I have lipoma, one who joked, "yes you seem to be a lipoma factory."
I am trying (for the first time) organic cedar extract (still trying to find the right dilution as straight from the bottle appears to be too much for my skin) and will report any positives or negatives here on this forum.
Has anyone else tried cedar extract (topically) as a means to try and reduce lipoma? I'd be interested to here from you.

In a brief review of the forum it does not appear that any definitive answers exist yet, but I am willing to investigate the anti-tumor foods and supplements that are posted. I am MUCH in favor of a non-surgical option for lipoma.

Thanks for having this place to interact on this subject. Much appreciated

All the best,
Steve

Hi Matt,
I am 67 and have Lipomas all over my arms and legs. The ones on my arm are the most embarrassing because they are so viewable by other people. My arms are lumpy with green grape size lipomas and of course the many scars from removal. recently on a website www.juicefeast.com i was told that the skin is another "kidney" and in order to work right you need to dry brush several times a day...for sure before a shower and put no lotions or oils on your body as your skin has to exfoliate and you dont want to hinder it. I have been doing that for 2 weeks and my lipomas are almost gone. I dont know how to get the word out but this may be the reason for some peoples lipomas. Can/will you help me please.
thanks

Did you exfoliate using cow manure? Or just snake oil?

Since lipomas are fatty tumors that are encapsulated, I'm pretty sure that your "cure" is cow manure or bull S#%@ and you are here to drive traffic to your website.

Every now and then someone spams this forum with bogus "cures" in order to increase their traffic.

Tried but no success for Lipoma cure

Post by Boston » Fri Dec 27, 2013 9:28 am

Hello All,

I am 34 years male. I have many lipomas( close to 30) onmy forearm, legs, Biceps etc. I have also followed multiple sites for the cure. Someone claimed that the Lipoma will be gone by Homeopathic treatment. I tried that back in 2009. But to my disbelief the numbers increased after the use of homeopathic. Then another member claimed that his lipomas are gone by using Beta Glucan tablets. I tries that one as well, but no results. I am now using Apple Cider, let's see what happens.

I am also trying to get rid of these nasty lipomas non-surgically. If i get any results, i will quickly update you. One thing i have noticed that, if you drink alcohols in the night, the morning lipomas are more visible and bigger in size. So i have cut down on my drinks. Anybody around Boston,MA having the issue, buzz me. We can share our conserns.

Hello !

I'm new here. i just want to explain my story and have some info.

When i was 14 I discovered a small lump in my forearm but I was not worried ... Today I have 10+ years, and I have about 5 on each arm. It is almost invisible. They are very small, a few millimeters to 1 cm for the largest. but I'm really worried that it increases, multiplies, in time.
Is it inevitable, or it depend ? I'm really worried, I can't stop thinking about and touch it... ( I know this is stupid)

I saw a dermatologist who told me that it was not necessary to remove them. But I do not want to wait a possible magnification! I don't care about small scar

FI: started "Triphala" yesterday...I don't expect anything, but it's healthy ;)

Thank for this blog !
and i'm sorry for my english mistakes it's not my mother tongue :D
