Dear Matt,

I Thank you for all the efforts you put in to run a website for find a treatment for lipomas, and more importantly the kind of research you do to find a treatment. Hope we find a treatment soon.

Is it possible for you to give an option to view the full site, but not the mobile version when accessing it through a smart phone.

When ever some posts, it only displays the day of the week and time, any possibility to display the date ? day of the week doesn't really matter.

thanks,
V

Hi victor,

thanks for the feedback!

I agree on the mobile version of this forum, it's not working too well :( I need to do something about it. I'm not sure how easy it is to just add the link to the web version. I may have to disable the whole mobile version for now since it's so buggy.

About the dates. I have mixed feelings about them because I know that if people see a post let's say 6 months old they are less likely to read it as they think it's too old. Also if the last reply is very old the thread is easily left dying.

And I think this subject were are handling here does not get old very easily. Most of the treatment options have been around for quite some time.

So I hope you see my point? I want as many people to read the posts and share their ideas. It's human psychology that we do not consider old posts with dates as important which is why I wouldn't like to add those. I wouldn't want to miss someone's post who might have something new to say about the subject just because he/she believes the thread is too old and thus not relevant any longer.

If a subject would become throughly handled I would of course lock it as I did with Darryl's lipoma cure thread.

So my question is does it really matter when the posts were submitted?

I have to think about it.

P.S. You can still see when the original post was submitted when viewing it from the parent forum.

P.P.S. Thank you for your words about this forum! I do think it is needed and I honestly think we can find somekind of a treatment other than surgery in the end. It's been a long road and quite some work but because I know there are others like myself out there I don't mind. I will keep on researching and posting and the best part is the feedback.

Sometimes my ideas go right through the roof - I'm not denying that. But obviously we need crazy ideas because NOTHING has happened in the field in the last decade or so! I'm pretty sure the cure is decades away UNLESS we do the work by ourselves.

Your strategy to display NO DATES is very frustrating, especially when I'm trying to monitor people's results with a proposed cure. On Tuesday, the poster said he doesn't see any change, then on Wednesday, he does. How do I know if it took 2 years or a single day? Come on, post the dates!

Matt, please, please, please add the dates. It is very tough to tell how stale info and treatments are on this board without the dates.

Yes, I understand your points. I will try to have time to do some maintenance on the board soon.

1) I will do something about the mobile version of the board.
2) I will add the dates
3) Any other wishes?

Thanks guys!

I updated the mobile theme. It's not perfect yet but I think it's better than the old one. The forum should automatically detect your device, if not delete your cookies.
