There is hope for the future...

I was recently watching a news interview and they were talking about gene editing. I believe that this is the only potential cure for for conditions such as FML (which I have). There is something in my DNA that is causing me to grow 100's of lipomas all over my body. I'm sure there are things we can do in our personal lives via diet and exercise that may be able to slow down the rapid growth of these things or at least alleviate some of the symptoms (itching, inflammation, etc.) But, I truly believe the only "cure" will come in the form of gene manipulation. We just need to convince the right people that this cause is worthwhile. They need to know that there is a market for the treatment of FML and many people suffer every day from it. This being my first post to lipomaboard I don't know if I am allowed to post the interview I watched or not. I will try and post it below, let me know what you all think.

i am on a strict diet, daily exercises and the like.

i ve finally realized they`ll always be there. its part of our lives

it has been done since 2006 . They are drugs already in use not created exactly for the condition we have but they can work I guess you just need to convince someone to give you the drug and serve as a guinea pig:

I was under the impression this "CRISPR" technology was a relatively new discovery. I know they have been working on gene manipulation for a long time, but, this one seems more promising. Maybe I missed something.

my bet, there are two different things CRISPP focuses on repairing the the broken gene( cure it) and what I have posted is to inhibit the broken gene in other words to slow down the disease as long as the person takes the drugs but not able to cure it .

I am currently researching chemicals that can safely break down (melt) fatty tissue, safely. Why haven't any doctors come forth with any ideas on how to do this?

Does exercise increase lipomas in people already having multiple lipomas. Does stopping if exercise results in lipoma growth. Someone told me if I have multiple lipomas I should not do any weight training
