Hi All
I realise this topic has been discussed before quite a few years ago, I just want to ask around again if the Ketogenic Diet has been helpful for you recently. The diet is now fad / next new thing around me at work and so I did some research online and found quite a few people who had success with this diet. I posted some screenshots of suffers discussing their results on the diet, some were positive some were not. Would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Strangely enough I’ve just started this today. Have weighed myself now at 103kg
Will post back after 1 month with my weight.

I've been strict keto for just a bit less than 2 years. It made no difference for me for the size or number of my lipomas.
It did have a tremendous impact on a huge range of health metrics I track 3-4 times per year (about 40 tests done by Quest Labs).

I did not lose any weight, because there was nothing much to lose. I was around 12-13% body fat before keto. Now I'm just below 12.
I did keto for a number of health reasons, and after repeat testing, I've seen tremendous benefits on almost every metric I was interested in. Three big ones would be never having a blood glucose that goes over 93, even after a meal, an hsCRP of .2 (.2 is as low as the machine can measure), and improved blood pressure.

I’ve dropped 5kg already. Trouble is I’m on warfarin so dropping carbs has been replaced by eating more veg but I’ve taken in far too much vitamin K so I’m out of INR range which is a problem. Otherwise all ok at the minute

It's tricky to find the correct macros without the problems of interactions with blood thinners. Good luck finding your personal balance.
I collected a lot of health metrics before and after keto, so for me there is no question about the benefits. As for being lean, I stopped blood pressure medication in 2012 after a number of lifestyle changes. One of them was to get very, very lean. It made a difference and my GP finally agreed to stop the BP meds. One positive for keto is that prior to starting it, managing my weight required a good amount of exercise and watching calories. With keto I sometimes have to add extra calories from time to time to avoid getting too thin. Yes, too thin. It can happen on keto. I'm doing 2460 calories a day now baseline with 400-900 more calories each day depending on what exercise (if any) I do that day.

So 4 weeks is up.
Original weight was 103.5kg
Today’s weight 96.4kg
Total loss of 7kg
I’ve never managed to lose weight with any diet so very pleasing result. Tough to follow but it’s worked.
Lipomas do not change in any way such or form so don’t try this diet thinking it’ll have an effect on them.....it won’t.
Going forward I’d like to lose another 4kg but keeping off carbs is tough as I’m on warfarin so have to be careful of green veg and the vitamin K involved.
To lose a bit of weight quick I’ll give it 9/10

I've tried keto diet for two months with no effect to my lipomas

Multiple familial lipomatosis runs in my family and a year ago, the few I had were being supplemented new ones popping up every month or so. Because my dad has lipomas and was on keto (for other reasons) and said he didn't see them get smaller, but they weren't growing, I gave it a shot. Immediately, I stopped getting new ones. The current ones I don't think have shrunk, but I've been doing keto for a year now and to my knowledge I don't have any new ones, so I'm pretty grateful for that.

Bottom line for me: keto seems to be working to keep new lipomas from growing.

I know i deserve a golden shovel award but anyways...
I am on the carnivore diet since about 4 months. It's very similar to keto, just without the veggies.
I am down 20kg and my lipomas shrank noticably. I also am noticing less pain issues connected to the lipomas.

I've experienced this kind of reduction during a 3-month desert trip, where we mostly ate goats, and I lost a fair amount of weight -- which wasn't a good thing, since I started with a normal BMI of just below 20. However, when I returned from my trip, the fullness of the lipomas returned.
