I might've drastically slowed or stopped my lipomas!

I might've drastically slowed or stopped my lipomas!

Hi everyone, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!

I've waited a full year to make this post since as we all know anything lipoma related takes time and jumping to conclusions prematurely is unwise.

Some context first:
I've suffered from lipomas and been a member of this board for many years. After trying dozens of supposed treatments and cures, nothing helped my condition so I resigned to surgery.
For the last 7-8 years I've been going to a surgeon once per year and cutting out about 20 lipomas. I've been much happier with scars than lumps and, while it was annoying to have to cut myself in 20 places every year, the solution was the least of all evils and worked well enough for me. If you need any reassurance take it from me - nobody cares about these scars. Rarely someone might ask what they're from and after hearing the answer there's a mildly confused "aha" at best and it's never brought up again.

Since I've found a way to deal with this condition I've been visiting the forum less, but I am now happy to come back with good news for hopefully at least some of you.

What I think seems to be slowing down the lipomas:
Ironically, I stumbled upon what I think improved my condition by sheer accident. I love training but hate cooking. So in order to meet my calorie needs without having to cook all the time, I've been looking for a source of healthy calories that don't need any preparation. The solution I've landed on was Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It's packed with healthy fats and tons of calories, it's a liquid therefore easy to get down, and I couldn't find any ill side effects to it. Some say more than certain amount may give you diarrhea but with the amount I'm chugging, that hasn't been the case for me - in fact I don't notice any changes in my daily life.
What I've been doing for the past year is, drinking 3-4 table spoons of extra virgin olive oil twice a day, preferably morning and close to going to bed so that I space them out better. That's it.

Why I think the oil is the culprit:
I can't think of anything I've changed in my daily routine over the past several years. I've been eating the same food and having the same physical strain.
While I don't monitor the sizes of my lipomas, what I know very clearly is that every year I'd cut myself in about 15-20 places. This is the first year I haven't gone to the surgeon at all. I do have couple of lipomas which are older than a year which I might remove in the near future but I haven't noticed new ones and the old ones haven't grown to a point where I'd want them removed at the end of the year. You know that pre-lipoma forming pain you feel in an area, and then sure enough couple of days later a lipoma forms? I haven't experienced that for a year. The oil is the only change I can point to that could be responsible for this.

I'm not a doctor and I won't even bother to try and understand how the oil may be doing what I think it's doing; but these are the results I have and I wanted to share them here.

I wholeheartedly hope this is not some coincidence and we may have stumbled upon something that can help us.

I'll be checking the forum more often now to make sure to answer any questions you guys may have regarding this post.

Cheers!
