any relation?

Post by april » Sat Sep 08, 2012 3:13 am

Hello, I am a 37 yr old female, mid-menopause, due to surgery for endometriosis & adhesions. I have had chronic kidney stones my whole life, they were diagnosed, idiopathic. I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease 8 yr s ago & pelvic adhesion disease 4 yrs ago. I have had 6 lipomas removd, have dozens more left that are very painful & my doctor believes I may have Dercum disease. Is there anything known of these diseases & illnesses being related to each other? What would be the best resource in your opinion for me to go to for researching any relations to all of these issues? Thank you for your time.

Sorry I don't have answer to your question but which part(s) of body did you have the 6 lipomas removed and where are the rest at?
Did your insurance cover it?
Do you plan on having more removed within the next year?

Hi april!

I'm sorry I can't answer to your questions. If you live in the US you might get in touch with Karen Herbst. She is likely the most experienced in the field of the Dercum's. Her website address is http://www.lipomadoc.org
