LipomaBoard.com upgrade coming

Hi All, I wanted to let you know LipomaBoard.com will go through an upgrade in the coming days or weeks. Since the upgrade is a lot bigger than before something might temporarily brake. The board will receive a facelift and some functionalities might change. This is necessary since the board needs both security updates and better mobile support.

Hi I have discovered that there are problems with some email clients (e.g. gmail and msn.com) receiving the emails from the lipomaboard.com (like the new registration confirmation email). I will try to investigate this in the upcoming days. In the mean time, if you have problems with the board please PM me or send me email directly to mattscarrock[]gmail.com. This is due to the upgrade. Sorry about the inconvenience.

I'm sure you all of you know that I keep this site up and running since I want to spread the awareness about our problems and hopefully we can bring more insight to new people that you are not alone. We have lots of good info here! There are many of us who suffer from lipomas. I do want to be honest to you guys and I have disclosed it before: I don't want to make money with this board. It is not my intention. I have a day job. My intention is to find a cure for us. I do have some ads here, mostly by Google and they do create some revenue. The revenue from the ads was a little bit better some years ago but the past few years the revenue has been decreasing and is around $200/yr. This is about half of the yearly the cost of running this board. The ad revenue has been decreasing during the past few years because of Google's policies so any donation is greatly appreciated. Even $1/yr/person is enough. Thank you!

Additionally, Lipomaboard was started in 2011 and things have changed quite a bit since. Nowadays most of us are browsing the Internet mostly via some mobile device and eventhough Lipomaboard had somewhat mobile friendly UI even before the new UI is so much better (I hope!). Furthermore, the data privacy issues play a greater role today which is why I wanted upgrade the site to use the https (secure) protocol instead of the old not-so-secure http. The operating system of the server as well as a great amount of the supporting software was also upgraded. All of this means that all of your personal information and the site overall is less vulnerable to anykinds of cyber security attacks.

Hey Matt, the site looks great and we all appreciate you spearheading this thing!
For many, this community has been the only ray of hope when it comes to lipomatosis.
I'm sure if we band together we can easily offload the hosting costs off of Matt alone
