Familial multiple lipomatosis is a rare disease. With this condition you get multiple lipomas (dozens or hundreds) all over your body. Lipomas are usually encapsulated.

My dermatologist pointed me to this government site, https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/disea ... ipomatosis, that lists many scary symptoms in addition to the lipomas, that are supposed to occur frequently -- Lipodystrophy (loss of fat in face), Functional intestinal obstruction -- and occasionally -- Abnormality of the tricuspid valve (heart issue), Accelerated skeletal maturation, Arachnoid cyst (brain tumor), etc. On other FML sites I'm not finding such scary correlations reported. Has anybody else investigated this, or experienced these other symptoms?

I guess it's listing the worst case scenarios.
